| From
highway 93/95, find Wasa Lake Park Drive from either the northern
or southern entrances of Wasa. Head east onto Lazy Lake Road and follow
for 10.2 kilometers to the junction with Lewis Creek Road (signed).
Turn right on Lewis Creek FSR and continue for 5.6 kilometers. The
2-wheel drive gravel road is rough and switchbacks. Turn left on an
unnamed road that follows the West side of Lewis Creek, 009189. Park at
the trailhead sign, 100 meters up this road. The first part of the
trail grinds steadily up through Douglas Firs, offering limited views.
From treeline, an easy scree slopes leads to the summit ridge that is
followed to the top. It is possible to extend the trip with a visit to
Teepee Mountain. |

Going up the rib on
a nice trail. Singing to scare bears away. |
| Scramble: RT 7.0 (combined with Teepee); 3.5 up. Left early from Golden and started hiking at 10 AM. The trail
is
in awesome shape and grinds steadily up the south-west slopes. The
summit is
easily reached via the south-east ridge. The remaining snow did not
hinder
the ascent; it was mostly firm.
